Long family tradition of the Rebholz family
The Rebholz family of winegrowers, which can look back to the 16th century, today consists of Birgit and Hansjörg Rebholz with their children and have lived in Siebeldingen for many generations. All members of the Rebholz family have always had something to do with wine. For three generations, however, the stately house on the Weinstrasse has concentrated entirely on viticulture.
With remarkable consequences: during these years, an in-house type of wine was developed and cultivated, the type of vine wood. At first he provoked rather, later he brought the house recognition and success. For him in particular, the winery has been one of the best addresses in the republic for years.
Working as closely as possible with nature - that is the concept of the winery. Therefore, it is obvious to practice organic viticulture. Since 2005, all vineyards of Rebholz have been cultivated according to ecological guidelines, shortly afterwards biodynamic. The use of herbicides, chemical-synthetic fungicides and mineral fertilizers is avoided in order to preserve the natural ecosystem and protect the environment. The use of plant strengthening agents strengthens and hardens the plants naturally.
For the company's organisation, ecological cultivation means additional expenditure, but the winery is willing to accept it in order to promote and increase the biodiversity of the flora and fauna in the vineyard ecosystem. All Rebholtz wines comply with the guidelines of the EU organic regulation and bear the EU organic label. All wines are subject to the eco-control number DE-ÖKO-003.
