Vinification of the Weingut Manz Oppenheimer Herrenberg Riesling TBA
The elegant Oppenheimer Herrenberg Riesling TBA from Germany is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Riesling grape variety. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. The fact that the Riesling grapes thrive under the influence of a rather cool climate also has an influence on the ripeness of the grapes that cannot be denied. This results, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and rather moderate alcohol content in the wine. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Oppenheimer Herrenberg Riesling TBA can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
