More information about Oude Kaap Moscato - DGB

This single varietal South African wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of black currants, blackberries, blueberries and mulberries in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.

The Oude Kaap Moscato can rightfully be described as exceptionally fruit-driven and velvety, as it was vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. Light-footed and multifaceted, this dense dessert wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Oude Kaap Moscato reveals itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this dessert wine from the Coastal winegrowing region finally thrills with good reverberation.

Vinification of the Oude Kaap Moscato from DGB

This elegant dessert wine from South Africa is vinified from the grape variety Gelber Muskateller. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Subsequently, fermentation takes place in the cellar at controlled temperatures.

Food recommendation for the Oude Kaap Moscato from DGB

This dessert wine from South Africa is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to pear-lime strudel, peach-passion fruit dessert or banana trifle in a glass.
