On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Pais presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Valle Sur finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of blackberry and black cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by volcanic rock are added.

Vinification of the La Causa Pais

The powerful Pais from Chile is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the País grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Valle Sur. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the pressing house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 12 months in French barrels.

Food recommendation for the Pais of La Causa

Drink this red wine from Chile best tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to vegetable stew with pesto, red onions stuffed with couscous and apricots or spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce.
