The Pannobile from the pen of Claus Preisinger from Burgenland offers a brilliant, bright red color in the swirled glass. also shows a colored transition to garnet red. After the first swirling, this red wine is characterized by a fascinating brilliance that makes it dance lively in the glass. In the glass, this red wine from Claus Preisinger displays aromas of plums, black cherries, blackberries, morello cherries and mulberries, complemented by forest floor and sun-warmed rocks. This dry red wine from Claus Preisinger is ideal for wine lovers who like their wine dry. The Pannobile already comes very close to this, having been pressed with just 1 gram of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied red wine is wonderfully dense. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pannobile flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness at the same time. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Burgenland finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of blackberry and plum. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess and volcanic rock join in.
Vinification of the Pannobile by Claus Preisinger
This elegant red wine from Austria is produced organically from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Burgenland. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loess, volcanic rock and black earth. Pannobile is an Old World wine through and through, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Pannobile are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Pannobile is aged for another 18 months in oak barrels.
Food recommendation for the Pannobile by Claus Preisinger
This Austrian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to braised chicken in red wine, ossobuco or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
