More information
The Pazo Barrantes Albarino of Marqués de Murrieta from the Spanish wine region DO Rias Baixas in Galicia is a varietal, complex, exuberant and varietal white wine.
In the glass, this wine shines in a bright lemon yellow with straw-yellow highlights. The multi-layered bouquet has wonderfully intense aromatics. This Spanish white wine smells of flowers, green apples, citrus fruits, apricots and white peaches. Subtle spicy mineral notes are added. On the palate, this white wine from Spain pleases with a vital, well-balanced acidity. The silky texture is wonderfully integrated into the elegant, fresh body, giving this wine its wonderful complexity and exuberance.
Vinification of the Marqués de Murrieta Pazo Barrantes Albarino
The Albarino grapes come from the Pazo de Barrantes winery in the Salnes Valley.
The grapes are harvested by hand and immediately brought to the winery of Marqués de Murrieta. There, the berries are first carefully destemmed and gently pressed. Then the must is fermented for 30 days at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Finally, this wine remains on the fine lees for 3 months to gain density and texture.
Food recommendation for the Pazo Barrantes Albarino
This dry white wine Spain is an excellent companion to seafood - gladly to white shrimp with mint, grilled scallop croquettes or also to marinated sardines.
