More information

The elegant Pèppoli Chianti Classico Tenuta Pèppoli flows into the glass with a bright purple color. After the first swirl, you can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The first nose of the Pèppoli Chianti Classico reveals nuances of black cherries, plums and blackberries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing such as dark chocolate, cocoa bean and cigar box.

The Tenuta Pèppoli Pèppoli Chianti Classico is wonderfully dry for wine enthusiasts. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully silky and melting. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pèppoli Chianti Classico flatters the palate with a soft sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Tuscan wine-growing region impresses with its considerable length. There are again hints of lavender and black cherry.

Vinification of the Pèppoli Chianti Classico from Tenuta Pèppoli

The basis for the balanced Pèppoli Chianti Classico from Tuscany are grapes from the Merlot, Sangiovese and Syrah grape varieties. Of course, the Pèppoli Chianti Classico is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Chianti Classico DOCG. This Italian wine can literally be described as an Old World wine, which is extraordinarily fragrant. The fact that the Merlot, Sangiovese and Syrah grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate also has a considerable influence on the ripeness of the grapes. Among other things, this results in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand once optimum ripeness has been ensured. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in large oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels. Ageing in oak barrels is followed by a long period of bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.
