Piamater Blanco Naturalmente Dulce 0,5 l DO - Vitivinicola Tandem

The Spanish dessert wine Piamater Blanco Naturalmente Dulce from Vitivinicola Tandem is made from sun-dried Moscato grapes that ripen on old vines at an altitude of about 700 meters in Málaga in southern Spain.

It is a complex and impressive wine that shines bright golden yellow with green reflections in the glass. On the nose, a complex play of aromas and scents of flowers, honey, tropical fruit and quince unfolds. On the palate, this racy wine is fresh-fruity and powerful, the good balance between acidity and fruit stands out appealingly, fine and delicate in the finish.

Vinification of the Tandem Piameter Dulce

Vitivincola Tandem's oenologist, Alicia Eyaralar, produces this exceptional dessert wine from 100% Moscato grapes in Málaga, in southern Spain, in partnership with the Bodegas Dimobe winery. The grapes ripen on vines 50 years and older in vineyards of the single vineyard Axarquia, on the barren slopes of the Sierra Màlaga on nutrient-poor, weathered soils, characterized by clay and quartz.

The Moscato grapes are harvested by hand as early as the end of August. Afterwards, the harvested grapes are dried in the sun and only when they have reached the best degree of dryness and residual sweetness, the temperature-controlled maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks.
