Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2015 - Pian delle Vigne
The Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Tenuta Pian delle Vigne presents itself in an intense ruby red colour in the glass. On the nose, fruity and floral notes unfold, wonderfully complemented by spicy notes and baslamic aromas that give the wine freshness and complexity. On the palate, Pian delle Vigne's Brunello shows a perfect creamy entry, dry with soft and silky tannins, wonderfully round and appealing on the palate. Very long, persistent and pleasant finish.
Vinification of Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino DOCG by Tenuta Pian delle Vigne
Brunello di Montalcino is 100% produced from the Sangiovese grosso grape variety, called Brunello in this area. In the vineyard and cellar, the grapes are pre-selected, then destemmed and gently pressed. The grapes are placed in stainless steel vats, where alcoholic fermentation takes place, followed by maceration on the skins and malolactic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 28°C for about three weeks. The wine is then transferred to large oak barrels with a capacity of 30 to 80 hectolitres, where it is aged for a long time before being bottled almost two and a half years later in April. Only after a further maturing period in the bottle store does it go on sale.
We recommend opening the Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino about 4 hours before eating.
Food pairings for Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
We recommend this iconic red wine from Tuscany with braised and grilled meat dishes with strong sauces, game, spicy dishes and aromatic cheeses.
