The House of Pierre Chainier

The history of the Chainier family begins in the 18th century, when Pierre Chainier's ancestors grew grapes in Bordeaux. After several years, the Chainier House was founded in 1973 in the Loire Valley. This tradition was passed from father to sons and Chainier House today brings together many professional experts, partners, wineries and major importers. This allows it to offer wines from its own vinification and selection, as well as from its own vineyards.

Today, the Pierre Chainier House represents 250 hectares in the heart of Touraine and produces the best wines of the Loire Valley, which are exported to five continents with the same commitment to quality.
The diversity of soils and microclimates of the region, a varietal cradle of exceptions, can produce an incredible variety of wines. The combination of these exceptions, the land and the Chainier family's love for their vineyards provide unique blends for powerful and fine wines that are popular both in France and abroad and constantly receive the most prestigious awards.

Thanks to the passion of its people, their expertise, the selection of the best grapes and the best growing conditions, Pierre Chainier is now recognized all over the world.
Pierre Chainier is the initiator of rational culture, an approach of listening to the earth and adapting, one of the cornerstones of the Chainier house, which the Chainier family passes on to younger generations.

The terroir

The Loire Valley is home to fascinating vineyards, most of which are centuries old. Part of the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2000, few places in the world offer a comparable combination of soils and names. The diversity of soils, reliefs, orientations and microclimates are favorable to the production of a wide variety of wines.
Touraine is an integral part of the Loire Valley "wine route", the longest in France, marked by an incredible cultural heritage and an extremely varied landscape. The vine has been ubiquitous since Gallo-Roman times and wine is an integral part of Touraine culture.

Located on the north bank of the Loire River, Château de Pocé is set in the midst of a unique registered park where you will find majestic trees and the Ramberge River flowing through the park that once provided electricity to the foundry.

Backed by an ancestral know-how, Paul Buisse is one of the best wineries in the Loire Valley region.

The estate has AOC Touraine vineyards located on the banks of the Cher and the valleys of the Loire-et-Cher, which are the best wines of the appellation.

The vines, over 25 years old, have an excellent western exposure and grow on clay-limestone soil, ideal for growing Sauvignon Blanc in particular.

Le Clos des Ronceveaux is a parcel of Domaine la Bruyère located above Caves Paul Buisse in Montrichard. Planted on a soil of clay and limestone, the vines produce mainly Sauvignon Blanc Touraine Appellation, but also Cabernet Rosé, also called "Fié gris".

This underrated grape variety is a cousin of Sauvignon Blanc and produces subtle pink grapes. The plants of the vines are older than fifty years. We pay special attention to this wine, which rests and moves on fine lees, then matures for a few months in oak barrels, giving a dry white wine with wood and vanilla aromas.

- Grape varieties: Sauvignon Rosé
- Distribution: 100% in France
