The children Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria (third generation) dedicated this outstanding red wine - Pietro Dal Cero Amarone della Valpolicella from Cà dei Frati - to their father Pietro.
In the glass an intense ruby red shines with purple reflections. The expressive bouquet offers a wonderful, intense variety of aromas - starting with ripe sour cherries, which combine beautifully with chocolaty and spicy notes, to floral tones of roses and wild stone quendel, to balsamic notes.
On the palate this red wine presents a powerful yet velvety texture with pleasant aromas of freshly ground coffee and soft tobacco. The dense tannins are accompanied by wonderful fruitiness and a pleasant acidity structure. The finale is of an unforgettable length.
Vinification of Cà dei Frati Pietro Dal Cero Amarone della Valpolicella
After the very careful harvest of the grapes for this Italian red wine, the grapes are dried in crates for 4 months. After drying, the mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks and remains on the skins for a longer period.
The maturing process begins for 24 months in wooden barrels, followed by 12 months in stainless steel tanks. Finally, this wine rests on the bottle for a total of 24 months.
