Swirling the glass, you can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The first nose of the Kristallberg Pinot Bianco Alto Adige reveals Nashi pears, mirabelle plums and peaches. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
This wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with 2.7 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. With its lively fruit acidity, the Kristallberg Pinot Bianco Alto Adige is wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this well-matured white wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region, more precisely from Alto Adige/Südtirol DOC, is impressive with its remarkable persistence. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the soils dominated by silicate rock.
Vinification of the Kristallberg Pinot Bianco Alto Adige by Elena Walch
This balanced white wine from Italy is made from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils made of silicate rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Recommendation for the Kristallberg Pinot Bianco Alto Adige by Elena Walch
This Italian white wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with leek tortillas, cabbage roulades or pumpkin casserole.
