More information
In the glass, the Pinot Blanc de Noir from the house of Seckinger shows a brilliantly shimmering copper-gold color. This German cuvée flatters in the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of nectarines, peaches, pears and apricots. These are joined by hints of cinnamon, lovage and green bell bell pepper.
In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of gooseberry and pear appear.
Vinification of the Seckinger Pinot Blanc de Noir
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Cuvée Pinot Blanc de Noir from Seckinger are Pinot noir precoce and Pinot Noir grapes. The grapes for this Blanc de Noir from Germany are harvested exclusively by hand after ensuring optimal ripeness. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc de Noir is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
Food recommendation for the Seckinger Pinot Blanc de Noir
Drink this white wine from Germany ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompaniment to leek tortilla, pumpkin casserole or cabbage roulades.
