More information
In the glass, the Pinot Blanc Gamlitz from the pen of Meinhardt Hube presents a bright golden yellow color. The bouquet of this white wine from Styria enchants with hints of prune and green apple. If we trace the aromatics further, hazelnut is added.
On the palate, Meinhardt Hube's Pinot Blanc Gamlitz opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully light. In the finish, this youthful wine from the wine-growing region of Styria finally inspires with good length. There are again hints of green apple and prune. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and sand join in.
Vinification of the Meinhardt Hube Pinot Blanc Gamlitz
The balanced Pinot Blanc Gamlitz from Austria is a single varietal wine, made from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. In Styria, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Pinot Blanc Gamlitz is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
