The F.E. Trimbach Pinot Blanc presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine enthusiast. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly silky and light texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinot Blanc flatters with a velvety feel on the palate without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Alsace finally inspires with beautiful length. Again, hints of lemon and lime show up. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone and marl dominated soils are added.
Vinification of the Pinot Blanc from F.E. Trimbach
The basis for the balanced Pinot Blanc from Alsace are grapes from the Pinot Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Alsace. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, clay and marl. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for Pinot Blanc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Pinot Blanc can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months...

This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to coconut-lime fish curry, wok vegetables with fish or vegetable salad with beetroot.
