The barrel-aged Pinot Blanc Tatschler DAC from the wine-growing region the Burgenland shows in the glass in bright ruby red. At the edges also shows a color transition to garnet red. When swirling the wine glass, one can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. To the nose, this Esterházy red wine presents all sorts of pears. As if that were not already impressive, the aging in large wooden barrels adds other aromas such as almond, mineral and smoky.

Vinification of the Pinot Blanc Tatschler DAC from Esterházy

The basis for the balanced Pinot Blanc Tatschler DAC from Burgenland are grapes from the grape variety Pinot Blanc. Pinot Blanc Tatschler DAC is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underlines the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the elegant Pinot Blanc Tatschler DAC is aged for several months in Austrian oak barrels.
