The Pinot Grigio Alto Adige from Cantina Tramin is a round, extract-rich South Tyrolean white wine that comes into the glass with a charming straw yellow color.
The nose is dominated by a pleasantly subtle fruit, with ripe pears and juicy apples coming to mind. There are also floral nuances as well as some honey and subtly roasted walnuts.
On the palate, the Cantine Tramin Pinot Grigio is pleasantly soft with a balanced fullness and solid fruit acidity.
Vinification of the Pinot Grigio from Cantine Tramin
After the grapes, which grow on calcareous, loamy soils, are harvested, they are gently pressed and the must is fermented at a controlled temperature of 19°C in stainless steel tanks. Biological acid conversion is deliberately avoided so that this Pinot Gris is particularly fresh and fruity.
Dining recommendations for the Tramin Pinot Grigio Alto Adige
We recommend this South Tyrolean white wine with freshwater fish and fish soup. However, its full-bodied and spicy aroma also makes it an excellent accompaniment to mushroom dishes.
