The elegant Pinot Grigio Collio from Draga comes into the glass with bright golden yellow. To the nose, this Draga white wine reveals all sorts of acacia and jasmine. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as almond, minerals and hay are added by the expansion in stainless steel.
This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. Here it is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully silky and melting. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region Friuli-Venezia Giulia finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of jasmine and acacia appear. In the finish, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sandstone and clay are added.
Vinification of Pinot Grigio Collio from Draga
The balanced Pinot Grigio Collio from Italy is a single-varietal wine, made from the Pinot Grigio grape variety. In Friuli Venezia Giulia, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and sandstone. After the manual harvest, the grapes reach the press house in the fastest way. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
Serving Suggestions for Draga Pinot Grigio Collio
This Italian is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to potato pan with salmon, leek tortilla or leek soup.
