The elegant Pinot Noir from La Vrille flows into the glass with bright light red. The bouquet of this red wine from the Aosta Valley seduces with nuances of sour cherry. If we trace the aromatics further, red currant, balsamic and forest floor are added.
On the palate, the Pinot Noir from La Vrille starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly silky and fleshy texture. Finally, on the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Valle d'Aosta delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of sour cherry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the sand-dominated soils join in.
Vinification of La Vrille Pinot Noir
The balanced Pinot Noir from Italy is a single-varietal wine, made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles. Aging in oak barrels is followed by considerable aging in the bottle, which makes this red wine even more complex.
