More information about Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace - Domaines Schlumberger

The elegant Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace from Domaines Schlumberger glides into the glass with a bright light red color. This Domaines Schlumberger red wine reveals all kinds of sour cherries on the nose. As if that wasn't already impressive, further aromas such as redcurrant, balsamic vinegar and forest floor are added thanks to the ageing in stainless steel.

This red wine from Domaines Schlumberger is just the thing for people who like their wine dry. The Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 0.2 grams of residual sugar. This fleshy and silky red wine is balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. The fruit acidity of the Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace is wonderfully rounded and makes this wine wonderfully smooth. The finish of this red wine from the Alsace wine-growing region, which is capable of maturing well, finally delights with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the soils dominated by weathered rock and sandstone.

Vinification of the Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace from Domaines Schlumberger

The balanced Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace from France is a single-varietal wine made from the Pinot Noir grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Alsace. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sandstone and weathered rock. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Dining recommendation for the Pinot Noir Les Princes Abbés Alsace from Domaines Schlumberger

This red wine from France should ideally be served at 15 - 18°C to accompany chickpea curry, boeuf bourguignon or cod with cucumber and mustard vegetables.
