Vinification of the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Brut
The elegant Champagne Cuvée Brut from France is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. In Champagne, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. The berries for this sparkling wine from France are harvested, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and gently pressed. The fermentation of the base wines follows. After the assemblage of the cuvée, further aging follows on the basis of bottle storage, Méthode Champenoise, classic bottle fermentation. Subsequently, the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Brut matures for 24 months on the full yeast.
