More information
The light-footed Champagne Cuvée Brut from the house of Piper-Heidsieck shines with brilliant golden yellow in the glass. The perlage of this sparkling wine shimmers in the glass incredibly fine, elegant and long-lasting. After the first swirl, this sparkling wine is characterized by a fascinating lightness that makes it dance lively in the glass. In the glass, this Piper-Heidsieck sparkling wine offers aromas of lemongrass, pomelo, lemon, quince and grapefruit, complemented by gingerbread spice, oriental spices and brioche. This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 11.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine, this French naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need sugar. Due to its vital fruit acid, the Champagne Cuvée Brut is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this Champagne from the wine-growing region of Champagne finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of pink grapefruit and pear appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone are added.
Vinification of the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Brut
The elegant Champagne Cuvée Brut from France is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. In Champagne, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. Champagne Cuvée Brut is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The berries for this sparkling wine from France are harvested, at the time of optimal ripeness, exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and gently pressed. The fermentation of the base wines follows. After the assemblage of the cuvée, further aging follows on the basis of bottle storage, Méthode Champenoise, classic bottle fermentation. Subsequently, the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Brut matures for 24 months on the full yeast.
