Vinification of Fattoria di Rodano Poggialupi
The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully balanced cuvée Poggialupi of Fattoria di Rodano are Sangiovese and Merlot grapes. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Tuscany. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. The grapes for this red wine from Italy, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation for 8 months in oak barrels.

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as a companion to duck breast with sugar snap peas, goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram or ossobuco.
