More information about Pomerol AOP - Château Bonalgue

In the glass, the Pomerol from Château Bonalgue offers a dense purple color. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. To the nose, this Château Bonalgue red wine presents all sorts of sour cherries, lilacs and plums. As if that wasn't already impressive, blueberry joins in due to the aging in small wooden barrels.

The Château Bonalgue Pomerol inspires with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine icon wine segment, this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum and lilac appear.

Vinification of the Pomerol from Château Bonalgue

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful cuvée Pomerol of Château Bonalgue are Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. Pomerol is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the Pomerol of Château Bonalgue

This red wine from France is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to goose breast with ginger red cabbage and marjoram, vegetable couscous with beef cakes or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
