With the Lorenz & Söhne Punktlandung Chardonnay comes a first-class white wine into the swirled glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant, golden yellow color. The first nose of the Punktlandung Chardonnay presents notes of lime, pears and honeysuckle. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by sun-warmed rocks, lovage and forest floor.
The Lorenz & Söhne Punktlandung Chardonnay delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 5.6 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need residual sugar. Due to its vital fruit acid, the Punktlandung Chardonnay reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Nahe finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of quince and orange blossom.
Vinification of the Punktlandung Chardonnay from Lorenz & Söhne
The elegant Punktlandung Chardonnay from Germany is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Chardonnay grape variety. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Punktlandung Chardonnay are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Punktlandung Chardonnay can harmonize further for several months on the fine lees.
Food recommendation for the Punktlandung Chardonnay from Lorenz & Söhne
This German wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to fruity endive salad, roasted trout with ginger pear or coconut-lime fish curry.
