The light-footed Punktlandung Grauer Burgunder from the house of Lorenz & Söhne shimmers with a brilliant light yellow color in the glass. With a little time in the glass, this white wine from the Old World offers wonderfully expressive aromas of vineyard peach, mirabelle plum, peach and nectarine, rounded off by toasted hazelnut, garrigue and Mediterranean herbs.
This white wine from Lorenz & Söhne is something for wine lovers who prefer to drink bone dry. The Punktlandung Grauer Burgunder comes quite close to this, as it was vinified with just 4.9 grams of residual sugar. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Punktlandung Pinot Gris presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of the Nahe finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of vineyard peach and mirabelle.
Vinification of the Lorenz & Söhne Punktlandung Grauer Burgunder
The elegant Punktlandung Grauer Burgunder from Germany is a single-varietal wine made from the Grauburgunder grape variety. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Punktlandung Grauer Burgunder are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Punktlandung Pinot Gris can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months.
