Vinification of the Ruggeri Quartese Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore
The elegant Quartese Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Glera grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on limestone, clay and marl soils in Veneto. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully pressed. This is followed by fermentation of the base wines. Once the cuvée has been blended, further ageing takes place using the Charmat method. The Ruggeri Quartese Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore then matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
Dining recommendation for the Quartese Brut Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore from Ruggeri
Ideally, drink this sparkling wine from Italy very chilled at 5 - 7°C as an accompaniment to leek tortillas, cabbage roulades or chickpea curry.
