In the glass, the Rare Rose Champagne from Champagnes Piper-Heidsieck offers a brilliant shimmering golden yellow color. The bubbles of this champagne present themselves in the glass incredibly fine, elegant and long-lasting. In the center, this sparkling wine shows a beautiful color. If you give it some air by swirling, this sparkling wine is characterized by a fascinating lightness that makes it dance peppy in the glass. This French cuvée presents delightfully distinguished notes of pineapple, guava, pomelo and Gallia melon in the glass. It is joined by hints of green peppers, juniper and garrigue.
The Rare Rose Champagne from Champagnes Piper-Heidsieck is ideal for all wine connoisseurs who like it dry. However, it never appears sparse or brittle, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied champagne is wonderfully dense. The final of this very ripening sparkling wine from the wine-growing region of Champagne finally impresses with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Rare Rose Champagne from Champagnes Piper-Heidsieck
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant cuvée Rare Rose Champagne from Champagnes Piper-Heidsieck are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Rare Rose Champagne is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. Once perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Rare Rose Champagne are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of crude and less selective machinery. Following the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and gently broken up. The fermentation of the base wines follows. After the assemblage of the cuvée, further aging follows on the basis of the Méthode Traditionelle. Subsequently, the Champagnes Piper-Heidsieck Rare Rose Champagne matures for several months in the bottle and is finally disgorged.
