Re Manfredi

The Re Manfredi winery was founded in 1998 in the heart of the DOC Aglianico del Vulture, just a few kilometers from Venosa.

Venosa is a small town and was the birthplace of the Latin poet Horace. An elegant and welcoming "masseria", a typical local farmhouse, is located in the center of the estate, whose vineyard covers no less than 120 hectares. The system of vine training is in the Guyot and cordon trellis style. Next to the farmhouse is the modern and dynamic Terre degli Svevi. A winery under the management of Christian Scrinzi. Today the company belongs to the Gruppo Italiano Vini and has a modern wine-making plant and a prestigious cellar with barriques in which the wines are stored.

The Re Manfredini winery benefits from a very advantageous location at the foot of the Vulture, in whose special microclimate the grapes grow and ripen particularly well. The vineyard is planted almost exclusively with Aglianico vines: 30 hectares of the approximately 20-year-old vines are trained in the Guyot system and approximately 10 hectares of the 10-year-old vines are trained according to the cordon trellis system at an altitude of approximately 420 meters in the municipality of Venosa. In addition, a small quantity of white grapes, such as

• Müller Thurgau and
• Gewürztraminer

are also grown. 

Re Manfredini with vines from lofty heights

The Serpara vineyard is located 550 meters above sea level, in the municipalities of Maschit and Potenza Province. It extends over six hectares, three of which are more than 40 years old. From a selection of these vines, new vines are created and from them the eponymous Masseria Cru is produced.
