More information
With the Karl Pfaffmann Red Vineyard a first-class red wine comes into the wine glass. In this it presents a wonderfully bright, light red color. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from Germany displays delightfully youthful aromas of blueberry, plum, damson and black cherry, rounded out by cinnamon, vanilla and black tea contributed by the barrel aging.
This red from Karl Pfaffmann is ideal for all wine enthusiasts who like it dry. At the same time, it never shows itself to be sparse or brittle, as one might naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety and dense. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Red Vineyard flatters with a pleasing palate sensation without lacking freshness. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate, more precisely from Walsheim, finally thrilled with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by loess soil.
Vinification of the Red Vineyard from Karl Pfaffmann
This balanced red wine from Germany is made from the Dunkelfelder, Merlot and Pinot Noir grape varieties. In the Palatinate region, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of loess. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Red Vineyard are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes reach the winery in the fastest possible way. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks, small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Red Vineyard is aged for several months in oak barrels.
Food recommendation for Karl Pfaffmann Red Vineyard
This German wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes or braised chicken in red wine.
