Regolo Rosso Veronese IGT 2017 - Sartori di Verona
On the nose this Sartori di Verona red wine reveals all kinds of black cherries, rum pot, wild berry confectionery, fruit breads and mulberries.
The Sartori di Verona Regolo Rosso Veronese inspires with its elegant dry taste. It was bottled with only 8.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Italian wine naturally enchants with the finest balance in spite of the dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully velvety. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Regolo Rosso Veronese flatters with a pleasing mouthfeel, without losing its juicy liveliness. The finale of this well-ageing red wine from the Veneto wine-growing region finally captivates with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.
Vinification of the Sartori di Verona Regolo Rosso Veronese
This balanced red wine from Italy is made from the Corvina grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Veneto. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the harvest the grapes reach the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wooden tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a maturation over 24 months in 900 l tonneau of oak wood. The maturation in wooden barrels is followed by extensive bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.
