Reserva Rioja DOCa 2014 - Vivanco
Vivanco Reserva is an excellent Spanish red wine cuvée made from Tempranillo (90%) and Graciano (10%) grapes.
A clear and deep cherry red shimmers in the glass of this wine. The complex bouquet of Vivanco Reserva Tinto blends the scent of boiled fruit, mineral notes, vanilla of new oak and subtle spicy nuances. The elegant tannins are perfectly integrated. Overall, this full-bodied red wine presents a good acid structure and balsamic notes. The finish delights with a wonderful complexity and elegance.
The bottle is modelled on an 18th century wine bottle exhibited at the Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture.
Vinification of Vivanco Reserva
The grapes for this red wine are carefully harvested by hand, selected and pressed in the wine cellar. The mash is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After fermentation, this wine matures for 24 months in oak barrels - first in American oak for 12 months and then in French oak for 12 months.
Food recommendation for Vivanco's Reserva
This dry red wine from Spain should be decanted in time, at least one hour before serving and is then a perfect soloist.
