Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves Blanc AOC 2017 - Baron Philippe de Rothschild
The Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc shows an intense pale yellow with greenish reflections in the glass. On the nose, an elegant, aromatic bouquet with delicate fragrances of citrus fruits, especially grapefruit, hints of apricot, fragrant summer blossoms and a fresh minerality.
On the palate, this white French from the Bordeaux tastes full-bodied and soft, with a harmonious and balanced, terroir typical freshness, fruity-floral citrus notes, orange peels and lime blossoms. In the long finale a fine mineral aftertaste.
Vinification of the Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves Blanc Baron Philippe de Rothschild
The Graves are the oldest wine-producing area of Bordeaux. The name of the appellation is derived from the prevailing gravel soil, on which the grapes can develop their special, fresh and mineral character. For the Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc individual parcels were selected which were particularly suitable for the production of this prestigious French white wine.
The cuvée consists of 77% Sémillon, which gives the wine its fresh minerality, 19% Sauvignon Blanc for the aromatic fruity-floral notes supported by 4% Muscadet. Temperature controlled fermentation and aging are carried out in stainless steel tanks. Here the wine stays on the fine yeast for at least four months, which makes it softer and smoother before it is bottled.
Food pairing for the Mouton Cadet Réserve Graves blanc Baron Philippe de Rothschild
Enjoy this exciting French white wine, preferably with freshly caught crab and prawns, fine salmon dumplings, salmon steak and fish soup or light quiches, pasta with shrimp or mussels.
