More information
Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes from the Bordeaux wine-growing region reveals itself in the glass in bright light yellow, golden yellow. After the first swirl, you can perceive a perfect balance in this dessert wine, because it stands out on the walls of the glass neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. This French cuvée shows wonderfully complex notes of apples, nashi pear, vineyard peach and lime in the glass. These are joined by hints of oriental spices, black tea and cinnamon.
Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes can rightly be described as particularly fruit-forward and velvety, having been vinified with a pleasantly sweet flavor profile. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced dessert wine is wonderfully melting. With its incisive fruit acidity, the Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable dessert wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of nashi pear and pear show through.
Vinification of the Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes from Baron Philippe de Rothschild
The basis for the balanced Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes from Bordeaux are grapes from the grape varieties Muscadelle, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this Sauternes from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
Food recommendation for the Mouton Cadet Réserve Sauternes by Baron Philippe de Rothschild
This French dessert wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to banana trifle in a glass, peach-passion fruit dessert or baked sweet potatoes with feta cheese.
