.The Réserve Spéciale Syrah by Gérard Bertrand presents itself in the glass in a deep dark garnet red with purple to black shimmer, unfolding an opulent bouquet. This seduces with the aromas of ripe blackberries and black currants, pepper and violets. Cloves, sweet spices and a touch of truffle complete the range of flavors.
This Syrah is full-bodied on the palate and powerful with juicy fruit and a fine herbal spice. An elegant red wine whose fine-grained tannins add even more lenght to the finale.
Vinification for the Gérard Bertrand Réserve Spéciale Syrah
For this red wine, only the best, optimally matured grapes are read by hand and destemmed.
They are then fermented over a period of 15-20 days at a controlled temperature of 25-30 °. After completion of the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, this wine is aged for 4 months in wooden barrels and cement tanks. After being bottled, the Réserve Spéciale Syrah is refined in the bottle for some time.
