The Jacobus Riesling from the Rheingau presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. Swiveling the glass, this white wine is characterized by an immense lightness that makes it dance lively in the glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from Germany presents delightfully distinguished aromas of pomelo, pear, lemon and grapefruit, rounded off by other fruity nuances.
This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 3.7 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in this price range, this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully silky. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Riesling Jacobus presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the Rheingau finally inspires with beautiful length. Hints of kumquat and nashi pear are again apparent.
Vinification of the RheingauJacobus by Peter Jakob Kühn
The basis for the elegant Rheingau Riesling Jacobus from Germany are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. After the wine is finished, the Riesling Jacobus is carefully harmonized.
