The Weingut Johann Topf Ried Hasel Pinot Blanc presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this balanced white wine is characterized by an incredibly light texture. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kamptal, finally captivates with beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by loess soil.
Vinification of the Ried Hasel Pinot Blanc from Weingut Johann Topf
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Pinot Blanc. Only the best grape material was used for this wonderfully balanced single-varietal wine from Weingut Johann Topf. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of loess soil. Ried Hasel Weißburgunder is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Austrian exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The ripening of the grapes for this Pinot Blanc wine is influenced to an undeniable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Lower Austria, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in French barrels.
