More information

With the Toni Hartl Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC, a first-class organic red wine comes into the swirling glass. Here it offers a wonderfully bright, purple color. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the rims. If you give it some air in the glass by swirling it, you can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. The first nose of the Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC flatters with notes of blackberries and black currants. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging like even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 1 gram of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the tongue, this well-balanced red wine is characterized by a tremendously velvety texture. Due to its lively fruit acidity, the Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of black currant and blackberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the slate-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Toni Hartl Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC Winery

The balanced Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC from Austria is a single-varietal wine, organically pressed from the Blaufränkisch grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate. Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this red wine from Austria, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC can harmonize further for 18 months on the fine lees.

Food recommendation for the winery Toni Hartl Ried Rosenberg Leithaberg Blaufränkisch DAC

This Austrian red wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to spinach gratin with almonds, boeuf bourguignon or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
