The barrel-aged Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile from the Alsace wine-growing region presents a bright light yellow color in the glass. The color of this white wine also shows golden yellow reflections in the core. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this white wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. In the glass, this white wine from F.E. Trimbach presents aromas of lime, kumquats, pomelo, lemons and apples, complemented by juniper, garrigue and green peppers. The F.E. Trimbach Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine lover. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine icon wine segment. Balanced and complex, this crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. With its present fruit acidity, the Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile reveals itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this very storable from the wine-growing region of Alsace finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of lemongrass and lime appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and marl join in.
Vinification of the Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile from F.E. Trimbach
The balanced Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile from France is a single-varietal wine made from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Alsace. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone, sandstone and marl. Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this white wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After the hand harvest, the grapes arrive at the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and gently broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Emile can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
