In the glass, the Riesling Kamptal Terrassen from Bründlmayer presents a brilliant shimmering light yellow color. In the glass, this white wine from Bründlmayer presents aromas of kumquats, grapefruits, jasmine, limes and apples, complemented by yeast cake, brioche and cream candy. On the palate, Bründlmayer's Riesling Kamptal Terrassen opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an uncommonly crisp texture. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of lime and nectarine appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and volcanic rock join in.
Vinification of the Bründlmayer Riesling Kamptal Terrassen
This elegant white wine from Austria is made from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of loam, loess soil, sandstone and volcanic rock. When they are perfectly ripe, the grapes for Riesling Kamptal Terrassen are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
Food recommendation for the Riesling Kamptal Terrassen by Bründlmayer
This Austrian white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to fennel salad with red lentils, cod with cucumber-mustard vegetables or leek tortilla.
