If we trace the aromatics further, forest floor, garrigue and green peppers come in.
On the palate, Oliver Zeter's Riesling Nussriegel opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This white wine belongs to the latter group, as it was bottled with only 1.3 grams of residual sugar. With its vital fruit acidity, Riesling Nussriegel reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Palatinate finally convinces with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by limestone and sandstone.
Vinification of the Riesling Nussriegel by Oliver Zeter
The basis for the elegant Riesling Nussriegel from the Palatinate is grapes from the Riesling grape variety. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and sandstone. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
