The Riesling from the wine-growing region Nahe presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The nose of this Lorenz & Sons white wine presents all sorts of nectarines, papayas, grapefruits, kumquats and limes. As if that wasn't impressive enough, the stainless steel aging adds toasted almond, whole nut chocolate and toasted hazelnut.
The Lorenz & Söhne Riesling presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine lover. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Riesling presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region Nahe finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of peach and Gallia melon appear.
Vinification of the Lorenz & Söhne Riesling
The elegant Riesling from Germany is a single-varietal wine, vinified from the Riesling grape variety. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Riesling are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally drawn off.
