With the F.E. Trimbach Riesling Réserve comes a first-class white wine into the swirled glass. Here it shows a wonderfully bright, light yellow color. If you swirl the wine glass, you can perceive a first-class balance in this white wine, because it stands out on the glass walls neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like. In the glass, this white wine from F.E. Trimbach offers aromas of apples, white currants, grapefruits, pears and apricots, complemented by forest floor, black tea and Mediterranean herbs. This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It has been bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced white wine is wonderfully dense. The finale of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Alsace, which has good aging potential, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.
Vinification of the F.E. Trimbach Riesling Réserve
This balanced white wine from France is vinified from the Riesling grape variety. In Alsace, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sand, limestone, granite, clay and marl. Riesling Réserve is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. When perfectly ripe, the grapes for Riesling Réserve are harvested exclusively by hand, without the help of coarse and less selective full harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After completion of fermentation, the Riesling Réserve can continue to harmonize for several months on the fine lees... The aging in wooden barrels is followed by a considerable bottle aging, which makes this white wine even more complex.
