In the glass, Johann Topf's Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein displays a brilliantly shimmering light yellow color. When swirling the glass, this white wine is characterized by a delightful lightness that makes it dance peppy in the glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine presents wonderfully expressive aromas of apricot, vineyard peach, nectarine and mirabelle plum, rounded out by other fruity nuances.
This Austrian wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.3 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. Light-footed and complex, this dense and crisp white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finish of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kamptal, finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the volcanic rock dominated soils.
Vinification of the Johann Topf Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein
The basis for the elegant Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein from Lower Austria are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of volcanic rock. Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Austrian breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Riesling Reserve Heiligenstein can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months....
