With the Johann Topf Riesling Reserve Wechselberg Spiegel comes a first-class white wine in the glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, light yellow color. If you give it some air in the wine glass by swirling, this white wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. This single varietal Austrian wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of grapefruit, lemongrass, lime and grapefruit. It is joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.
The Johann Topf Riesling Reserve Wechselberg Spiegel presents itself to the wine drinker wonderfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine icon wine segment. This dense and crisp white wine presents itself on the palate full of pressure and facets. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Riesling Reserve Wechselberg Spiegel presents itself fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria, more precisely from Kamptal, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by granite and slate.
Vinification of the Johann Topf Riesling Reserve Wechselberg Spiegel
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. Only immaculate grape material was used for this wonderfully powerful varietal wine from Johann Topf. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Lower Austria. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate, granite and silicate rock. Clearly, Riesling Reserve Wechselberg Spiegel is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors Kamptal. This Austrian can be described in the best sense of the word as a wine of the Old World, which presents itself exceptionally impressive. After the hand harvest, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
