More information
The Riesling from Weingut Juwel in Rheinhessen offers a brilliant, light yellow color in the swirled glass. To the nose, this Weingut Juwel white wine reveals all sorts of peaches, kumquats, oranges, vineyard peaches and grapefruits. As if that weren't already impressive, the stainless steel aging adds sun-warmed rocks and forest floor.
This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 8.7 grams of residual sugar. As one might expect from a wine in the upper price range, this German wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully crisp. Due to its concise fruit acidity, the Riesling presents itself on the palate fantastically fresh and lively. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soil dominated by loess and limestone.
Vinification of the Juwel Riesling Winery
This elegant Riesling from Germany is a single varietal wine, pressed from the Riesling grape variety. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and loess. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
