More information
The Riesling from the wine-growing region of Württemberg presents itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. The bouquet of this white wine from Württemberg captivates with nuances of peach, nectarine, apricot and vineyard peach. If we trace the aromatics further, sun-warmed rocks and forest floor come into play.
On the palate, the Riesling from Weingut Leon Gold starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic.Despite its dry flavor profile, this white wine enchants with the finest melt and finely woven residual sweetness. Light-footed and complex, this light white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Riesling is impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Württemberg finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of peach and nectarine appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and sandstone join in.
Vinification of the Riesling from Leon Gold Winery
The basis for the elegant Riesling from Württemberg are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. In Württemberg, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sandstone and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
