In the Rheingau, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the light-footed Riesling Winkeler Hasensprung Spätlese is aged for another 5 months in oak barrels.
