More information
The Estate Riesling from Wittmann from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen reveals itself in the glass in a brilliantly shimmering light yellow. Swiveling the glass, this white wine is characterized by a wonderful lightness that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. The first nose of Riesling presents nuances of apricots, grapefruits and gooseberries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances.
The Wittmann Riesling impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 0 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a premium and site wine segment, this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. Light-footed and multi-layered, this silky white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Riesling presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Wittmann Estate Riesling
This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. Only first-class grapes were harvested for this wonderfully elegant single-varietal wine from Wittmann. After the harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
