More information about Roble - Bodegas Protos

With the Bodegas Protos Roble comes a first-class red wine in the wine glass. In this it reveals a wonderfully dense ruby color. To the nose, this Bodegas Protos red wine reveals all sorts of black currants, blueberries, mulberries and blackberries. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as cinnamon, vanilla and black tea.

The Roble from Bodegas Protos is ideal for all wine connoisseurs who like as little sweetness as possible in the wine. However, it never appears meager or brittle, but round and smooth. This dense and silky red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. The final of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Castile - León finally thrilled with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and clay.

Vinification of the Roble from Bodegas Protos

This powerful red wine from Spain is made from the Tempranillo grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Castile - Leon. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 6 months in American barrels.

Food recommendation for the Roble of Bodegas Protos

This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed at a temperate temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is a perfect accompaniment to lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, stuffed peppers or roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce.
