The Roccialta Chianti from the wine-growing region of Tuscany is a bright ruby red in the glass. This Italian cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of black cherries, roses, plums and lavender in the glass. There are also hints of other fruits.
The Azienda Uggiano Roccialta Chianti impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with just 0.6 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine at the upper end of the price range, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance despite its dryness. Taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly velvety texture. The Roccialta Chianti is impressively fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Tuscan wine-growing region finally delights with good length. Once again, there are hints of rose and lily.
Vinification of the Roccialta Chianti from Azienda Uggiano
Canaiolo and Sangiovese grapes form the basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Roccialta Chianti cuvée from Azienda Uggiano. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled. Once the wine is finished, the Roccialta Chianti is carefully harmonized.

This Italian wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It goes perfectly with goose breast with ginger-red cabbage and marjoram, duck breast with sugar snaps or vegetable couscous with beef rissoles.
